little hot mess

the atkins diet stuff i ordered came in today. i think this will be a hard diet to start because we love our bread and pasta, but i think it will be the one thing that will be the easiest to adapt into our day to day.

i’m not going to force chris into doing this with me. but i have expressed to him how we both need to eat healthier and that i’m done with this double cooking crap. he’s going to eat what i cook or go without. it’s costing us far too much money to have to continue to buy specialty things that he will eat and that he can cook.

that’s right. i told chris that he is going to learn how to cook a couple basic meals. hopefully, this will keep him from choosing pizza or macaroni and cheese as his go to “i dont know how to cook” meals. 

the first meal that i decided he is gonna learn how to make was something i chose before deciding on this diet:spaghetti and meatballs…..i think that may have to change but i’m gonna start him off easy.

i’m going to try and incorporate more veggies into his diet and the biggest thing is going to be getting him to enjoy veggies. he gets upset when we discuss it because to him salad looks delicious but when he eats it, its just a bunch of crunch and no flavor…i dont know how that’s possible but ok. i was raised LOOOOOOVING veggies, with the exception of brussel sprouts…lol

my goal is over the next year to lose 100 lbs. both of us. losing that for him is going to be easier because he hasn’t had a weight problem his whole life like i have. he’s always been really active. 

me on the other hand, i’ve always been heavy. i haven’t had a big problem with it until the last year or so. i’ve gained almost 50 lbs since i’ve moved back closer to family…and since i started dating christopher. 

once i’ve lost my goal, i’m going to keep it up. i would like to get down to right around 200 lbs. according to the BMI, i should be right at 124-140? fuck that. i would look ridiculous. i’ll be happy with 200. 

all the pages i read say that i need to have some sort of weight goal prize? some shit like that? idk about all that but my one prize is getting to go buy all new clothes when i’ve gotten down to my goal weight. what could be a better prize than that? selling all my old clothes and buying all new ones, including new, sexy panties? awesome. 

so, considering i have my big birthday/valentines day extravaganza coming up, i’ve decided i’m going to start this new meal plan/system march first. its going to give me the time to get recipes built up, join the support groups i need to, and find the couple weight loss buddies that will be crucial to my motivation. 

our exercise routine is going to consist of daily walks to the other end of town, maybe taking my moms dog out and running him around, zumba, possibly if i can find someone to come with me, and um, another vigorous activity….

once i can get my body used to the idea of working out i will incorporate more physical activities and such..

ok i’ve been going on and on for long enough..thoughts? anyone? suggestions?
